Our tour begins with a journey to the town of Malindi, also known as “Arab Malindi”, where you will explore both the modern and historic parts of the city. Immerse yourself in the vibrant local culture as you wander through the bustling market, browse renowned local textiles and handicrafts, and admire intricate batik work. The tour culminates with a visit to the Akamba wood carving factory, which offers a fascinating insight into the skills of local artisans and the opportunity to purchase unique souvenirs.

After our exploration of Malindi, we will head to Marafa, often called “Hell’s Kitchen” or Marafa Depression, a stunning natural canyon. Upon arrival, a local guide will lead you through the spectacular gorges, sharing insights into the rich culture, traditions, and fascinating legends of the area. The highlight of a visit to Marafa is undoubtedly the breathtaking sunset. Witnessing the sun descend into the canyon is a truly mesmerizing experience, often described as watching the sun melt into the earth. We will then return to your resort, arriving around 7:30pm.
