Tsavo East N. Park, Taita Hills & Amboseli N. Park

This 4-day safari takes you through three iconic destinations: the rugged beauty of Tsavo East, the architectural marvel of Taita Hills, and the breathtaking landscapes of Amboseli, set against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro.
We venture into the private reserve of Taita Hill. Amidst the gentle hills of Africa, lies a private reserve where you can opt for a night safari if you wish.
This reserve, thanks to its location, is a unique ecosystem. It is called the “Little Serengeti”! Here, you can witness large herds of elephants quenching their thirst just a few meters away from you, eland, giraffes, zebras, and lions with thick manes.
It’s a one-of-a-kind place in all of Kenya! You will spend the night in an exclusive lodge built on stilts.
Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay at Sarova Salt Lick Lodge on stilts are included.
Fill the form and a member of our team will get back to you to confrim your safari booking.
Note: Flying drones is prohibited in Kenya without a permit
Tsavo East: Famous for its flat, heat-shimmering landscapes and the “Red Elephants.”
Taita Hills Sanctuary: A lush, mountainous sanctuary that acts as a bridge between the two Tsavo parks.
Amboseli: High-altitude plains dominated by the presence of Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro.
This 4-day route is the ultimate “Best of the Southeast” tour. By adding a fourth day, you get a much more relaxed pace. You experience the vastness of Tsavo East, the unique stilted-lodge experience of Taita Hills, and a full day in Amboseli to track elephants under the shadow of Mt. Kilimanjaro without feeling rushed.
Day 1: Coast to Tsavo East (approx. 2–2.5 hours).
Day 2: Tsavo East to Taita Hills (approx. 1.5–2 hours).
Day 3: Taita Hills to Amboseli (approx. 3.5–4 hours).
Day 4: Amboseli back to the Coast (approx. 6–7 hours). While there is significant driving, the transitions between parks are broken up by wildlife viewing as soon as you enter the gates.
Typical accommodations for this circuit include:
Night 1 (Tsavo East): A lodge like Ashnil Aruba or Voi Safari Lodge.
Night 2 (Taita Hills): The world-famous Salt Lick Safari Lodge, where rooms are elevated on stilts over a waterhole.
Night 3 (Amboseli): A lodge or luxury tented camp such as Ol Tukai Lodge or Amboseli Serena, offering direct views of Kilimanjaro.
This route covers a wide range of habitats, increasing your chances of seeing:
Large herds of Elephants (Amboseli is arguably the best place in the world for this).
Lions, Leopards, and Cheetahs.
Buffalo, Giraffes, and Zebras.
Specialized species like the Lesser Kudu and Gerenuk in the dryer areas of Tsavo.
Kilimanjaro is notoriously “shy.” It is most often visible in the early morning (sunrise) and late afternoon (sunset). During the heat of the day, clouds usually gather around the peak. This 4-day trip gives you two chances (evening and morning) to catch that iconic view.
Yes. During the transition to or from Amboseli, your guide can arrange a visit to a Maasai Village. This is an optional activity where you can meet the local community, see their homes (Manyattas), and witness traditional dances. Note that a separate entry fee is paid to the village elders.
Versatile Layers: You’ll experience heat in Tsavo and cooler, crisp air in Amboseli and Taita Hills.
Comfortable Shoes: Sneakers or light hiking boots.
Sun Protection: Sunscreen, a wide-brimmed hat, and polarized sunglasses.
Power Solutions: A power bank and international adapters
