Yes. Because this is a private safari, we can tailor the trip to your preferences. You can choose to upgrade to luxury lodges, extend your stay in the Maasai Mara, or even add a flight back to the coast on Day 7 to save driving time.
June to October: The dry season. This is the best time for wildlife viewing as animals congregate around water sources. It also coincides with the Great Migration in the Maasai Mara (typically July–September).
January to March: Great weather and excellent for birdwatching and seeing newborn animals.
April to May: The “long rains.” Some lodges offer lower rates, and the landscape is lush and green, though some roads can be muddy.
Clothing: Neutral-colored clothing (khaki, tan, olive) is best. Evenings can be chilly in Amboseli and the Mara, so bring a light jacket or fleece.
Sun Protection: Hat, high-SPF sunscreen, and sunglasses.
Gear: Binoculars (highly recommended), a camera with a good zoom lens, and a power bank.
Medicine: Anti-malaria medication (consult your doctor), insect repellent, and a basic first-aid kit.
Your safety is our priority. Our driver-guides are highly trained in wildlife behavior and off-road driving. All vehicles are equipped with long-range high-frequency radios for communication. When staying in lodges or tented camps, Maasai guards or hotel security often escort guests to their rooms at night.
